COVID-19 Information

Understandably, there is growing concern about the virus and potential impacts on industry programs and events.  The National Apartment Association held a webinar (geared towards property management) on March 10, 2020.  A recording of that call may be made available to NAA members through their website.

We are currently evaluating options for upcoming events.  At this time, we have canceled the Education Breakfasts scheduled for March 25-26, and will advise of a reschedule date once confirmed.  The SWFAA "That '70s Trade Show", scheduled for April 4th has been moved to Septembere 10 th.  However, preventive measures will be employed for this and all upcoming SWFAA events..  We will advise on all upcoming programs once the appropriate course of action has been determined.  The Association will be monitoring the COVID-19 issue carefully, following official guidance, and will work with volunteer leadership to implement appropriate program and operational protocols.

We urge you to monitor and follow the recommendations of official health organizations such as the Florida Department of Health,  Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).  You may also wish to monitor updates from the National Apartment Association (as mentioned above).

It important to note that The Southwest Florida Apartment Association, Florida Apartment Association, and National Apartment Association are not experts in, nor licensed to, provide medical or epidemiological advice/guidance.  As such, it is imperative that you follow the guidance of official governmental entities such as those listed above.
